It’s no use going on this way. We both done the best that we can. You go our way, I’ll go mine. We’ll both be better now. Cuz nobody ever promised you You was gonna have a good time But don’t let it get the best of you Everything is gonna be fine It’s all right, baby, just let it go. We don’t get back none of yesterday’s time. All your days are numbered, so are mine. We gots to do better now.

I been trying to get you outta trouble you keep getting in Don’t you worry I’ll be there on the double, Coming through thick or thin. Moving mountains, i smash em into rubble. Where do i begin? Sitting and thinking and pondering this question. And I want you to tell me, where you been all my life? Moving mountains, so you don’t have to climb em. It gets better yet. Drain the ocean so you ain’t gots to swim it. Don’t want you getting wet. Sitting and thinking and pondering a question.

Grapevine 05:12
Did you snake up the Grapevine? Did you burn down the other side? Did you, did you burn? Did you, did you snake? There’s a line of semis two miles long. Did you need another hit of speed? Did you burn down the other side? Did you make your poor momma cry? Did you snake up the grapevine?

about

Once again straddling the despair and riding it like the beast of burden that it is. Bashing the seventh chords out of the acoustic guitars like there’s no tomorrow, and crying out for the things we never had, or the things we can no longer get. Facing down a gang of drunken ornery backups singers and coming out on the other end of instrumental bliss, falling feather-like into the soft touch of deelectrified and modulated ectoplasmic sludge core, reborn into the blood-red dawn of a new day of hopes and fantastic dreams.
